Our Chasen holder is Banko ware, a type of Japanese pottery (stoneware) traditionally from Yokkaichi Mei, a Prefecture in Japan.
This holder is important because with repeated use the Chasen/ Bamboo Whisk, will naturally loose its curved shape. The Bamboo Whisk holder will aid in returning the Chasen to its original curved shape. This ultimately extends the life of your Chasen!
Additionally, the holder allows for the Chasen to be store upside down with the prongs facing down, right after its use. This causes the water to trickle down towards the end of the prongs and drop off and dry. It keeps the water from soaking the string on the Chasen. When that happens, it can develop an odour, which is very difficult to remove.

When is the best time to drink the Spicy Refresher?
